Fitting Information
We recommend offering wheel to hub before mounting
tyres, as we cannot accept returns after tyres
have been mounted. Tyres should be mounted only
to approved mounting practices.
We recommend regular cleaning with soap and water
or a suitable chrome cleaning cream such as PPC(available
from Raceways) and protection during winter with
Duck Oil or similar protective product. Avoid
car washes and cleaning chemicals as these can
sometimes affect finishes. Never spray cold water
on hot wheels.
Torque nuts to recommended torque
settings and re-torque after 25 miles, and each
time wheels are removed.
3/8th = 35/45 ft.lbs.
7/16th = 55-65 ft.lbs. 12mm = 70/80 ft.lbs. 1/2
inch= 75/85 ft.lbs 14mm = 85/95 ft.lbs
9/16ths = 95/115 ft/lbs 5/8ths = 125/150 ft.lbs.
Use manufacturers specified style of nut. Mount
wheels using only guaranteed quality lug nuts.
Clean studs of rust and dirt and mount DRY, never
use lubricants on studs.
Stud length must be adequate to insure engagement
of stud into nut at least 1.5 times diameter of
stud.
WARNING
check for excessive length of stud. Excessive
length will bottom out in a closed-end nut and
will prevent wheel from being properly torqued
to hub. In the case of cars using bolts rather
than nuts, tighten bolts and then
rotate wheels fully before driving
car to check for excessive bolt length.
Contact Raceways if any problem occurs and we
can revue nuts supplied, DO NOT FIT INCORRECTLY.
Drum flange must be clear of
all obstructions, such as rivet heads, guide pins,
spring clips etc. Check brake drum balance weights
for obstruction and grind down if required. Particularly
check with finned brake drums for obstruction,
(spacers are available for certain applications).
Re-balance as a unit with wheel mounted on car.
Whilst every care is taken in
supply of wheels and accessories it is up to the
user to check all the points above.
SPINNERS spinners and turrets are fitted using
grub screws supplied, grub screw on spinner is
fitted under one of arms. Fit good hand tight
and then lock with grub screw. Check regularly.
